Paris

No, not the restaurant, the city. Should this be listed under Eating Out: Ireland? Well yes, given that you can now fly to Paris for the cost of a bus out to Douglas, and if you throw in the cost of the hotel, well that's still less than a train fare to Dublin.
I'll not mention any restaurants by name, partly because I can't remember the names, and partly because there is no need.
Paris is a city to stroll round and try the bakeries and the boulangeries, the cafes and the bistros, the bars and the pubs.
Try the coffee (double espressos is the closest to a black coffee). Try to not get hyper on all that caffiene.
Try the croissants. They are nothing like you can get in Cork. So light and fluffy and yet so so much butter.
Try the escargots (snails to me and you), a bit rubbery and tasting more of a very hot garlic oil than of anything slug-like.
Try the horse burger, I didn't get a chance. Let me know what it's like.
Try the undercooked meat. Resist the urge to call a vet to check your dinner for a pulse and close your eyes and try it. It's good.

Try the breakfast. Fifteen plates of bread and eggs and meat and who knows what. Just dig in and try it all.
Try Paris, walk round and try the zillions of places to eat and drink. The wine is good, when you're not eating there are loads of things to see to see. Walk round, work up an appetite.
